In this section we (will) show how to prep food both for immediate use and also for storage. Often, you will find yourself making things “look pretty” and simultaneously saving the less sightly bit for stocks and other purposes.
Additionally, for the novice or budding professional, we will cover the usage of knives and other kitchen tools.
RECIPES
Recipes should be simple instructions. Something that works as expected when implemented. Every recipe we use has been tested multiple times. While we encourage you to make these “your own”, it may work best if you try to follow the instructions without modification the first time you use one.

The Reason For This Site
Our reason for existing (Julia Childs might have said, “raison d’être”) is to encourage people to make good food from basics. No more prepared food for you and yours!
Additionally, we were motivated after we got sick of looking up others’ recipes only to be inundated with ads.
We do plan to add some ads and maybe try to sell you some tools we use, but we’ll keep this kind of thing minimal. We promise.
